Update 6 Rabee' Awwal 1435h: the houthis continue their Attacks on the Main Masjid during the Prayer

Day 91:

Yesterday three students were martyred by houthi sniper fire. All of them shots to the head. abdul Rahman Al-Haymi, Hudhayfah Al-Hudhayfah, and Faaiz Al-Ba'daani.

Also yesterday, the committees from the Government and the Tribes were finally able to get through the houthis to the Markaz with the ICRC. They transported 35 injured students to Sa'naa by air from Sa'dah. Some students were not able to go due to the lack of space. During this time the houthis continued to fire rounds randomly at places other than where the ICRC were. On the way out of Dammaaj the houthis obstructed the ICRC cars at their check point in Khaaniq (right outside Dammaaj) for over an hour. They search them vigorously, harassed them and took pictures of the students.

We are still waiting on the retrieval of the 38 or more students that are in an area that the houthis invaded (Masaadeer). This occurred before in the first siege. There were 21 students who needed to be recovered. After a long drown out negotiation with the houthis they agreed to let tribal leaders to retrieve the bodies. The ICRC said there were not able to get a guarantee that the houthis will not attempt to shot at them. Which is why the tribal leaders had to retrieve the students bodies. When the bodies returned we could clearly see that their faces had been disfigured. The doctors who work in Dammaaj (some of them students of knowledge here) said their faces had been disfigured with some sort of acid or other chemical.

As early as 1am this morning the houthis began to bombard the Masjid, its surrounding areas and the house of Sheikh Yahyaa with heavy mortar shells, tank and cannon artillery. Some counted as many as 21 mortar shells during the night. There were no deaths but some injuries from them Sheikh Abdul Wahhaab Ash-Shameeri (one of the teachers here also considered to be a judge) and some of his children suffered minor injuries from shrapnel.

This is the blast to the Masjid that caused Sheikh abdul Wahhaab and some of his children to be injured.

Today at the time of the Mid-Day Prayer (Thuhr) the houthis began firing tank and cannon artillery at the Masjid. Simultaneously firing their anti-aircraft weaponry. All of this while the Muslims were in prayer. Al-Hamdulillah no one was injured.

Right now it is 11p.m. here and the houthis are doing as they do every night play their usual noise on their loudspeakers and shoot randomly. For those who don't know Dammaaj is a very peaceful village in the middle of mountains (mountains that the houthis seek to control to control us). Before this siege and war there is usually total silence at night even at times during the day. For example we can hear a person's door opening and closing from afar.

We ask Allah to remove and keep the invading houthis far away from us and return us to our previous state of peace and serenity.

Update 4 Rabee' Al-Awwal 1435h: Peace and Human Rights wait on the insubordination of the Malignant Raafidhah (houthis)

Day 89:

By the Mercy of Allah no one was hurt in the attack on the Masjid yesterday, but the area near the emergency shelter for the women and children was hit.

The truck load of supplies that came 2 days ago has yet to enter into us. The houthis fires at anyone trying to unload the supplies. The truck sits a short distance away from the Markaz in an open area.

The Government said the military will come tomorrow to enforce the cease-fire. The houthis apparently are still refusing to sign the agreement that has already been signed by Sheikh Yahyaa.

Today the houthis rejected entry into Dammaaj of the present committee and the ICRC.

Also today the houthis shot tenaciously at various areas and homes with their 23 and 37mm anti-aircraft guns. Keep in mind this type of artillery is used to take down a plane. For the last 3 months or so they have been these guns to snipe at human beings.

The Government has warned the houthis to cease their wars going on in Yemen, The houthis just opened yet another war in a province called Arhab which is near the capitol San’aa. The houthis are fighting at least four other wars in Yemen all at one time: Haashid, Jawf, Hardh and Dammaaj. Those who describe the houthis as turning political and they have a constructive role in Yemen couldn’t be more wrong. The houthis are literally tearing Yemen apart from the inside with their constant wars. We ask Allah to give the Yemeni Government tawfeeq (success) to do what is obligatory upon them.

Update 24 Safr 1435: More injured students die, houthis apprehend and imprison Special Forces Commander

Day 80:
192: Shuhadaa 565: Injured

Today the houthis again cowardly shot cannon artillery at the main Masjid after the Jum'ah Prayer knowing that crowds would be leaving the Masjid. The houthi snipers were shooting rounds at the Masjid during the khutbah. At least one student was injured

Yesterday we buried our brother Bilaal Al-Abyani and today we buried Farhaan As-Sumaali Ad-Daaroodi who had been awaiting treatment for two weeks with an injury to his growing area.. They were both injured in the last few attacks from the houthis.  When the houthis attack they launch dozens and dozens of grenades either by hand or some kind of grenade launcher.

To this day the ICRC, reports and others say they are being prevented from entering Dammaaj by the houthis.

Also yesterday the houthis apprehended and imprisoned Commander Khaalid 'Aqlaan of a Battalion from the Special Security Forces in Sa'dah

Inconsistent Report: Yemen: Parties to conflict must protect prisoners and wounded and sick

Link to article

Why is the ICRC not telling the whole story? We have valued and appreciated their efforts up to this point in this atrocity. There are no injured houthis being held in Dammaaj, rather it is the severely injured students in Dammaaj that are dying as they wait on the ICRC. Every day we are told that the ICRC are trying to get in to Dammaaj but the houthis are preventing them. We had to manually pump air into one student for over a week before he finally died. One student was murdered by sniper fire from the houthis right in front of the ICRC. Again why are they not telling the whole story? Is this acceptable that the ICRC are trying to get to the injured in Dammaaj and they are prevented by the houthis? The ICRC’s address should be directed towards the houthis who are totally guilty of what they are accusing not as they have said "parties." We are total under siege and there is no way for us to prevent the ICRC or any other government official. It is known when officials come here they are treated as our guest with respect. We are still waiting on the promise of the government to have the ICRC retrieve the 40 plus bodies of students that have been left for the dogs to eat for more than a month now.

Update 14 Safr 1435h: Day 70 of this attack on Al-Islaam

Today is the 70th day of this siege, attack on the Deen of Al-Islaam and this atrocious act of terrorism from the houthis here in Dammaaj. One of the previously injured students was buried today. He suffered from a shot to the head from the houthi snipers. The ICRC are still being prevented from entering DammaajDuring these last seventy days we have seen some of the most unorthodox and despicable acts committed by the houthis. From them: targeting and purposely murdering of women, children and the elderly, destruction  to sacred religious structures, planned attacks during the times of the prayer, targeting water supplies, attempting to starve a whole village by way of blockade, the relentless and constant use of heavy artillery on the innocent, and preventing government officials and reporters to enter Dammaaj. Are these not clear acts of War Crimes (Crimes of Peace and Crimes of Humanity)???

ﮯﮰ               ﯘﯙ        ﯝﯞ    ﯠﯡ               المائدة: ٨

Oh you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah as just witnesses; and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety; and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do. {5: 8}

Today, like last night, has been somewhat quieter, but as we write this update the White Plane has begun to hover over Dammaaj again. It doesn’t seem like this plane is for our benefit. We put our trust and reliance in the Most High. As Sheikh Ibn Baaz responded to a question about these types of planes he said “and the Most High is above this plane.”

Update 10 Safr 1435h: houthis still preventing ICRC from entering Dammaaj

Today 2 students died due to previous injuries sustained in attacks from the houthis. There also a number seriously injured still waiting to be removed. There are also at least four women injured who are also waiting on the ICRC. Another woman died this week due to lack of needed medication. She was prevented by the houthis to leave for dire medical treatment and died amongst her husband and three small children. The ICRC said they have been trying to get through the houthis to Dammaaj for the last ten days now with no avail. So when is it that the ICRC are prevented from helping the injured? Is this not a clear crime of humanity on the part of the houthis?

Late report: the day before yesterday another emergency shelter for women and children was shelled. The first hit did not explode and allowed the children that were in the area to relocate to another part of the house. The second hit landed in the same spot they moved from and exploded. By the Mercy of Allah no one was hurt. The owner of the house said this about the twelfth time the shelter has been shelled. Also the same day a mortar shell fell near a first aid station and injured one student.
