How strange is the affair of the believer!

On the authority of Abi Yahyaa bin Suhaib Sinaan  he said that The Prophet Muhammad mentioned: “How strange is the affair of the believer! For indeed, in all of his affairs there is well being . And this is not the case with anyone else except for the believer. For if there befalls him any good, he thanks (Allah), and as a result it is better for him, and if there befalls him a calamity, he endures it patiently, and as a result it is better for him.”

Inshaa Allah will resume posting and updating this blog soon

Update10 Safr 1435h: Those who when afflicted with calamity, say: "Truly, to Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return." {2.156}

Day 95:

Last night some of the Army started to show up in Dammaaj and more showed up today. Earlier today the President asked Sheikh Yahyaa to come to Sana’a and discuss the current issue of Dammaaj to come up with a just solution. Either secure the institute and its students from any harm or any other solution to bring this conflict to a close. After first planning to go Sheikh Yahyaa, the other Scholars of Dammaaj and some of the students decided for him not to go and until the situation was more organized.

Afterwards during the lesson after the ‘Asr (mid-day) prayer Sheikh Yahyaa read a proposal from the Government to relocate him and all of his students. We all decided together to leave this land of the Raafidhah. The Sheikh said if we decide to stay he has been informed that most of the soldiers of the Yemeni Army that will be stationed in the mountains surrounding Dammaaj will be houthis. There for they have given us an option with a guarantee of security from the Government to relocate all of us in the next four days.

Inshaa Allah we will continue to update the situation.

Update10 Safr 1435h: Day 94 (yesterday)

Day 94:

Yesterday we buried Umm Ahmad Al-Hajjiyah along with two other students (Muhammad Al-Jazaa'iri and Muhammad Al-Ibbi). Her husband was killed in the tank attack on the Masjid in the Mazraa’ that killed many students during the prayer in the early part of this atrocity. Afterwards Umm Ahmad suffered a miscarriage when the houthis lunched rocket artillery that landed near her home. From continuous bleeding, sadness and the severity of our conditions she eventually past. Umm Ahmad leaves us as one who has memorized the Holy Qur'aan. As many of those students that have past were and some of the best mannered and most studious of people, by Allah the best of people. We ask Allah to except her, her husband and the rest of our beloved fellow students as Shuhadaa.

Also yesterday approximately 3:50 p.m. the houthis began shelling the Masjid and its surrounding area again. This is all after a cease-fire agreement has been made. Sheikh Yahyaa agreed and signed to all terms proposed to him by the Government (thus the Methodology of the Muslim is to obey the ruler). There is a claim that Sheikh Yahyaa said if the President wants us to close the institute we will.

Update 8 Rabee' Awwal 1435h: houthis reject the cease-fire, deny Yemeni Army entry into Dammaaj and attack the Masjid again

Day 93:

There was a mutual agreement among the representatives of all parties (the Government, the Military, the Tribal Committee, Dammaaj and the houthis) for a cease-fire that was to start today at 6 a.m.. The agreement was for the Yemeni Military to come today and all positions be turned over to them, along with the houthi check points and roads to be opened back up (thus removing us from the houthis siege).

Instead the houthis denied the Yemeni Army to enter Dammaaj only on the condition they would not bring heavy artillery and the soldiers would only enter with a gun and a clip vest.

Approximately 9:15 a.m the houthis began yet another attack on the main Masjid and surrounding area. As they have done before they bombard the Masjid and its surrounding areas with tank, cannon, mortar shells and anti-aircraft artillery. The shelling usually includes the areas near the emergency shelter for the women and children and they deliberately aim for our main water supply for those that live in the area of the main Masjid. Al-Hamdulillah only some suffered minor injuries.

Yesterday the Tribal Committee headed by Al-Maqdashi came with papers about the cease-fire agreement for Sheikh Yahyaa. They brought along with them some supplies from the Government for us, may Allah reward them. The houthis continued their sniper fire throughout the night, even firing a B-10 cannon at some of the students in the Watan area. No one was hurt Al-Hamdulillah

Update 7 Rabee' Awwal 1435h: Whats being said in the news is one thing and the reality is something else

Day 92:

There is news spreading officially that there is a cease-fire here in Dammaaj. We are still in a siege. We are still defending ourselves. The houthis are still shooting at us. Students are still being martyred and injured daily. And so on and so on. We wait patiently for Allah the All Mighty to relieve us of this trial of the houthis and those who aid them.

Update 6 Rabee' Awwal 1435h: the houthis continue their Attacks on the Main Masjid during the Prayer

Day 91:

Yesterday three students were martyred by houthi sniper fire. All of them shots to the head. abdul Rahman Al-Haymi, Hudhayfah Al-Hudhayfah, and Faaiz Al-Ba'daani.

Also yesterday, the committees from the Government and the Tribes were finally able to get through the houthis to the Markaz with the ICRC. They transported 35 injured students to Sa'naa by air from Sa'dah. Some students were not able to go due to the lack of space. During this time the houthis continued to fire rounds randomly at places other than where the ICRC were. On the way out of Dammaaj the houthis obstructed the ICRC cars at their check point in Khaaniq (right outside Dammaaj) for over an hour. They search them vigorously, harassed them and took pictures of the students.

We are still waiting on the retrieval of the 38 or more students that are in an area that the houthis invaded (Masaadeer). This occurred before in the first siege. There were 21 students who needed to be recovered. After a long drown out negotiation with the houthis they agreed to let tribal leaders to retrieve the bodies. The ICRC said there were not able to get a guarantee that the houthis will not attempt to shot at them. Which is why the tribal leaders had to retrieve the students bodies. When the bodies returned we could clearly see that their faces had been disfigured. The doctors who work in Dammaaj (some of them students of knowledge here) said their faces had been disfigured with some sort of acid or other chemical.

As early as 1am this morning the houthis began to bombard the Masjid, its surrounding areas and the house of Sheikh Yahyaa with heavy mortar shells, tank and cannon artillery. Some counted as many as 21 mortar shells during the night. There were no deaths but some injuries from them Sheikh Abdul Wahhaab Ash-Shameeri (one of the teachers here also considered to be a judge) and some of his children suffered minor injuries from shrapnel.

This is the blast to the Masjid that caused Sheikh abdul Wahhaab and some of his children to be injured.

Today at the time of the Mid-Day Prayer (Thuhr) the houthis began firing tank and cannon artillery at the Masjid. Simultaneously firing their anti-aircraft weaponry. All of this while the Muslims were in prayer. Al-Hamdulillah no one was injured.

Right now it is 11p.m. here and the houthis are doing as they do every night play their usual noise on their loudspeakers and shoot randomly. For those who don't know Dammaaj is a very peaceful village in the middle of mountains (mountains that the houthis seek to control to control us). Before this siege and war there is usually total silence at night even at times during the day. For example we can hear a person's door opening and closing from afar.

We ask Allah to remove and keep the invading houthis far away from us and return us to our previous state of peace and serenity.

Update 4 Rabee' Al-Awwal 1435h: Peace and Human Rights wait on the insubordination of the Malignant Raafidhah (houthis)

Day 89:

By the Mercy of Allah no one was hurt in the attack on the Masjid yesterday, but the area near the emergency shelter for the women and children was hit.

The truck load of supplies that came 2 days ago has yet to enter into us. The houthis fires at anyone trying to unload the supplies. The truck sits a short distance away from the Markaz in an open area.

The Government said the military will come tomorrow to enforce the cease-fire. The houthis apparently are still refusing to sign the agreement that has already been signed by Sheikh Yahyaa.

Today the houthis rejected entry into Dammaaj of the present committee and the ICRC.

Also today the houthis shot tenaciously at various areas and homes with their 23 and 37mm anti-aircraft guns. Keep in mind this type of artillery is used to take down a plane. For the last 3 months or so they have been these guns to snipe at human beings.

The Government has warned the houthis to cease their wars going on in Yemen, The houthis just opened yet another war in a province called Arhab which is near the capitol San’aa. The houthis are fighting at least four other wars in Yemen all at one time: Haashid, Jawf, Hardh and Dammaaj. Those who describe the houthis as turning political and they have a constructive role in Yemen couldn’t be more wrong. The houthis are literally tearing Yemen apart from the inside with their constant wars. We ask Allah to give the Yemeni Government tawfeeq (success) to do what is obligatory upon them.

Update 3 Rabee' Awwal 1435h: Main Masjid attacked again

Day 88:

Right now at the Adhaan for the Maghrib Prayer the houthis are shooting what sounds like a tank or big cannon at the Masjid or the area around the Masjid and are firing various machine gun fire vigorously. This is a demonic trait of the houthis that has been recognized during this war and siege. Originally known in Al-Islaam as the trait of the Devils (Shayaateen) when they hear the call to prayer (i.e. they get very agitated when hear the call to prayer). May Allah the Protector safe guard those Muslims who are in and around the Masjid.

This morning just before the morning prayer (approximately 5:30a.m.) our brother Usaamah Al-Lahji was martyred by houthi sniper fire. At that time it was dark outside so it is suspected that the sniper was using night vision.

A few days ago the houthi group was responsible for the murder of two innocent men in Sa’dah. All because they refused to give their money in charity (Al-Khums i.e. one fifth) to the houthi terrorist organization. They distort what is intended in Al-Islaam regarding Al-Khums and use it as a form of extortion in the name of religion. This way is found generally amongst the various sects of the Shia’.

Update 2 Rabee' Awwal 1435h: houthis Threaten the President and Whoever is in Agreement with him

Day 87:

The houthis refused to sign a cease-fire agreement from the government. Sheikh Yahyaa has already consented and signed it. The President stated that he will enter the Yemeni military forces to resolve this conflict. The houthis respond by threatening the President with a war that will make him and his associates shed tears. Also the houthis are using a government military plane to transport their injured to San’aa. They are currently fighting wars in Dammaaj, Hashid and Jawf (another province in Sa’dah) all at one time. Link to article in Arabic

Today the present tribal committee came and brought a truck load of food and medicine. In the process of the delivery one student from the locals (abdul Kareem Al-Waadiee') was shot by houthi sniper fire to his head, which in turn forced members of the committee to take cover in a trench. Abdul Kareem is now in a comma in critical condition. The houthis refused to let the committee take the the injured with them. The houthis pursued the delivery truck with mortar shells and machine gun fire. Two other students were injured in this process.

Also today the houthis continued their heretical act of shelling the Masjid and its surrounding areas during the prayer after the khutbahtul Jum’ah.

At this time it is 9:30pm here there is a lot of very loud speeches going on. Sometimes the Mashaayikh or some of the students give talks over a loudspeaker. Usualy every night the houthis give their talks and play their music during the late hours of the night to the early hours of the morning. Almost like a radio program. Also this night the houthis are randomly shelling, firing the machine guns and firing the 37mm anti-aircraft gun.

Update 29 Safr 1435h: houthis answer Presidents recent demand for a cease fire with an attack on Dammaaj

Day 85 (yesterday):

-The attack of the houthis left 2 students martyred and approximately 14 wounded.  Since the beginning of this atrocity the houthis have been on the attack day and night.  While they continuously launch mortar shells, use tank and cannon artillery their foot  soldiers launch  dozens and dozens of grenades at a time and fire bazookas projectiles.  Its very difficult to make distinction of the artillery the houthi use during their attacks  due to the vast amounts being used at one time.

-The houthis still continue to totally deny entry into Dammaaj from anyone of the  various committees and human rights organizations. What is frightening  is the silent  sanction which we see nationally as well as international. There is no way that the  committees(sometimes commissioned by the Yemeni Government) and these well  established organizations should tolerate this type insubordination from the houthis.

-We ask the reader to excuse us for our short comings in this blog due to the severity  of the circumstances. We ask the reader to be patient as we are not journalist. We are  students of knowledge. We only seek to present information about this siege and  attack on us from those who have first-hand knowledge.

Update 27, 28 Safr 1435h: houthis destroy Masjid in Kitaaf

Day 83 (yesterday):

                            ﭿﮀ                            ﮈﮉ                       البقرة: ١١٤

And who are more unjust than those who forbid that the Name of Allah be glorified and mentioned much (i.e. prayers and invocations) in the Masaajid of Allah and strive for their ruin? It was not fitting that such should themselves enter them (the Masaajid of Allah) except in fear. For them there is disgrace in this world, and they will have a great torment in the Hereafter. {2.114}

This is the aftermath of the attack on the institute in Kitaaf after Sheikh Jameel and the students were able to retreat. Listen as the houthis shout their slogan"Death to America…" while they destroy the Masjid. As we mentioned before, this clearly shows the heretical houthis war upon Al-Islaam and the Muslims.

Day 84 (today):

The houthis have begun yet another heavy assault on Dammaaj. It started today at 5p.m. We ask Allah to make us firm.

Update 26 Safr 1435h: Another Committee arrives

Day 82:

Today seemed to be a better day. A committee of tribesmen from Dhammaar arrived in Sa'dah a few days ago with about 400 of their men. A group from them came to Dammaaj today and there were some arrangements discussed. The committee said they would attempt to implement a cease-fire, transport the injured students, enter food, and try to open up the roads. They requested Sheikh Yahyaa to form a committee made up of four individuals to negotiate cease-fire terms. Sheikh Yahyaa said he sees good from this new committee.

After the ‘Ishaa prayer the houthis shelled near the exit of the masjid at the time of people leaving, then afterwards near the emergency shelter for the women and children. As we mentioned before we have seen some of the most vile and disgraceful acts any of us have ever seen. But some say otherwise regarding the houthis.

There is word that the houthis have been preparing for a big heavy artillery attack. We can see some new structures built in the surrounding areas. As this has become the way of our lives here now waiting on the houthis to attack us. For indeed, we do not have the ability to initiate any kind of offensive attack. Delegates from Dammaaj are trying, as they have since the beginning of this wicked act of the houthis, to encourage the government, their affiliates, the tribes, etc. to intercede and prevent further unnecessary bloodshed.

It should be understood that if the Yemeni Government wants to shut down Daarul Hadeeth Dammaaj we say as Sheikh Muqbil said before all the President would have to say is close the institute. Without spilling the blood of the Muslims. We find contentment in following what the Qur’aan and the Sunnah orders to (i.e. obeying the Ruler).

For the last three nights we have heard  a plane flying over us. We can only assume that it is our same white plane.
